How to Attach a Tutu to An Applique or Design

1. Stitch Applique normally.  Tutu will be the last step.

2.  Stitch Placement line.

3.  With a piece of tulle, slightly bigger than you want the skirt to be, gather on end so that it fits within the placement line.  Use a piece of scotch tape to tape it in place.  The machine can stitch through the tape.

4.  Stitch the tack down stitch to hold it in place.  Then trim along the top edge.

5.  Stitch the satin stitches, and trim around the skirt to make it look pretty.
